Church In Real Life
Technology For You
There are few ministries happening in the life of the church that primarily exist behind the scenes. One such ministry consists of all that our Tech Team provides for our church. Though the fruits of their labor are something we regularly benefit from, these individuals are usually tucked away in the back corner on a Sunday morning, and their ministry is one which we rarely notice or acknowledge.
Pushing Buttons For The Glory Of God
Every week this team is hard at work serving us during the service to keep the lyrics moving, the mics working, and the website updated. We thank God for those willing to serve us behind the curtain, helping us accomplish the larger goal of bringing glory and honor to the great name of Jesus.
If you’re an aspiring tech guru and would like to join the Tech Team, please complete the form below and Deacon Jason will get connected with you!
A Growing Body
This Sunday we’ll welcome new members to Grace Hill Church! God has been faithful to build His church and continues to remind us of His goodness and kindness in the lives of those He leads through our doors. Come ready to celebrate as we affirm and welcome our new members during the service.
Christ Is Building His Local Church
Paul says in Ephesians 4:25 that we are “members one of another”. Church membership is more than a membership in a club. It’s an expression of our commitment to the people around us. The Scriptures are full of “one another” commands that show believers how to act in godliness toward other people. What Scripture makes clear is that these “others” refer to a specific group of people, not all people generally. These “others” are the men and women identified in a particular local church.
We Are Members One Of Another
As members of Grace Hill, we have the privilege of living out our lives with one another. We celebrate and grieve with one another. We build deep relationship with one another. We advance the joy of Jesus together. We help one another pursue holiness. We remind one another of the beauty of the gospel.
Pastors & Deacons
Jesus is the leader of his Church and he has called, qualified, and gifted individuals to imitate Him in the task of caring, guiding, teaching, and serving His people. They are servants who lay down their lives for others, accountable to God and to us.
Imperfect Men Serving A Perfect Savior
Two Offices, One Gospel Mission
Every second Tuesday of the month the Pastors and Deacons gather to pray, plan and set the vision for what comes next at Grace Hill Church. Their next meeting is Tuesday, August 13th. Your prayers and support have meant everything to these men. Your generosity and encouragement to those giving their time to serve you and the church has not gone unnoticed. Thanks for your loving and caring support. These men need your prayer more than you will ever know. Please continue to pray for God to lead them, and that the Spirit would unite them in purpose and vision.
August Youth Splash
Our next youth night is scheduled for Saturday, August 10th from 4-8pm at the Dobb's house. We plan to enjoy their pool (weather permitting - please pack swimsuits and towels), share a meal together, and continue our study through the Sermon on the Mount.
Saturday, August 10th | 4-8pm
We currently meet once a month to learn and grow. Every meeting is different. Sometimes it's a party. Sometimes it's a service project. Often we have deep theological conversations. 7th-12th graders from inside and outside the church are welcome to join.
One Night In Merton
Head over to Pollworth Park (Located at Whitetail Run and Bark River Road) on Tuesday, August 6th for the annual Village of Merton National Night Out. This is one of the few moments throughout the year where our neighbors in the Village gather together. If you’ve ever wanted to experience night life in Merton, then this the evening to venture out to the Village.
Tuesday, August 6th 6-9pm
Grab a friend from church and a neighbor and come see what’s happening in the Village of Merton. There will be food, community representatives, and entertainment. This is a phenomenal time to interact with people from the community and remind our neighbors that Grace Hill Church is here for the people of the Village.
All of Merton in One Place
Membership Seminar
Come spend a Saturday morning with the Pastors of Grace Hill to learn more about the church and the Biblical values of membership. Childcare will be provided for those who need it, and lunch will be served at the conclusion of our time together.
Saturday, September 28 | 9am-12pm
We are grateful for this opportunity to introduce you to our church. Our hope is that you will be encouraged as we review the values that distinguish our church from others. We truly support every gospel-proclaiming church in our community, but we are sure you’ll understand why this is our favorite — for it is here, with these people, that God has called us to live and labor for His glory.
What are the values of GHC and Why they matter
Our time together will be structured around the values we share. They don’t explain everything about us, but they do provide benchmarks for you to further explore our doctrine and practices. Please feel free to ask your questions during the seminar (and following). Nothing is off-limits or out of bounds. We want to help you understand us. This seminar is for you.
After completing the Membership Seminar, you will have the option of pursuing church membership. We recognize that not everyone is ready for this step and if this describes you, please continue to engage in the life of our church with no expectations. You are welcome here.
Welcome Home
Arriving to church on any given Sunday morning should feel like stepping into your own home; surrounded by familiar faces, the steady recall of fond memories, and the sweet comfort to move about the living space with ease.
Home Away From Home
Though stepping into church on Sunday should feel like home, it often doesn’t feel that way. The men and women of Grace Hill Church take the biblical mandate to show hospitality seriously. It is the mission of the Hospitality Team to create and facilitate a space that we all love to belong. We consider it our joyful ambition to make church a place that feels like home - your home.
A Place To Belong
The Hospitality Team will be meeting this coming Tuesday, July 30th to review our mission and vision as a local church and work towards developing those goals into your realty. If you are interested in participating in this ministry, please join us at 7:00pm on Tuesday evening, July 30th at Grace Hill Church.
July Youth Pool Party
Our next youth night is scheduled for Saturday, July 27th from 4-8pm at the Casper's house. We plan to enjoy their pool (weather permitting - please pack swimsuits and towels), share a meal together, and continue our study through the Sermon on the Mount.

Pray For Romania
Nicu Sotir (wife Marta) serves as one of the pastors at Biserica M28 Bucuresti (Church M28 in Bucharest). The M28 stands for Matthew 28 and represents the church’s commitment to the Great Commission. The church recently hosted a VBS where over 40 children attended. The two youngest Sotir children, Abbi & Anna Greta, were participants while their oldest, Nikolas, helped his parents and others as volunteer workers. As the church has grown, Nicu & Marta were able to transition to an advisory role. M28 plans to repeat this event again this summer.
Still A Need For Christ In Romania
Nicu has expressed a deep concern for Romania as the culture continues to embrace an open tolerance to sin and an unhealthy interest in self-esteem - even within the churches. They are noticing a lack of love for truth, love for the Scriptures, and any desire at all to sacrifice for the Gospel and Christ. One way they have tried to combat this trend is to get more involved in Biblical Counseling. There are a few ACBC certified counselors at M28 but they are praying for more and working on another training seminar in October of 2024. This is a bigger task than we might realize since all ACBC curriculum is in English. It is upon them to translate all of the materials and brochures. They have also started a podcast within this part of their ministry.
Bringing Good News To The Gypsies
Nicu has been more intentional working with the few Gypsy pastors in the area to help equip them for ministry. They were able to reach out to children in two different towns and spend time in local Gypsy churches.
Pray for wisdom as they take steps to advance Biblical Counseling in Romania.
Pray they will rest on God’s providence.
Pray for safety and fun during the Sotir’s summer vacation.
